Bingo has been a popular game amongst people of all ages. It's now finding a new home away from the traditional bingo halls we're familiar with Ænamely, online. In this section of the website we'll feature a playing guide as well as a few strategic tips to help you play bingo online. Bingo Rules There are 75 possible bingo numbers. Each of these numbers is represented by a ball in a large rotating bin. The bin is spun and the number that is pulled out is called out. The players check all of their cards to see if that number appears on their card. If it is, they mark it. When a player has a bingo (5 in a row, column, or diagonal), he or she calls out BINGO. Player's chances of winning depend on the number of cards in the game and how many cards he is playing. For example, if a player has 12 cards in a game with 1200 cards, the chances of winning for that player is 1 in 100. The cards Each player has a number of bingo cards. Each bingo card has 5 rows and 5 columns thus providing 25 spaces. The columns are labeled from left to right with the letters: 'B', 'I', 'N', 'G', 'O'. With one exception (the center space is free) the spaces in the card are assigned values as follows: each space in the 'B' column contains a number from 1 Æ 15 ; each space in the 'I' column contains a number from 16 Æ 30 ; each space in the 'N' column contains a number from 31 Æ 45 ; each space in the 'G' column contains a number from 46 Æ 60 ; each space in the 'O' column contains a number from 61 - 75. Furthermore, a number can appear only once on a single card. Bingo Playing Strategy When you play bingo online, there are 75 possible bingo numbers: B1, B2, B3, etc, etc, all the way up to O74, and O75. Every bingo game has a winning card, so a player's odds of winning depend on the number of cards in the game and how many cards they are playing with. For example, if a player has 12 cards in a game with 1200 cards, the chances of winning for that player are 1 in 100. In essence, there rally isn't much more you can do other than playing with as many cards as you can afford. Just keep in mind that if you are playing with more cards than you can keep track of, you'll probably end up doing more to hurt your chances of winning than increasing them. Bingo is a game governed entirely by chance so don't try to change that because it can't be done. Just play for fun and hope to the first one to yell out BINGO!
